I just am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost and for the Lord's mercy. I have truly felt His guidance and love this week.
Sister Helsing and I saw so many miracles! It all started on Tuesday. We had some time that afternoon when we had planned to do some finding downtown, but we felt like we needed to be on the other side of town, so we went! We didn't know why, but we thought maybe we needed to go to the apartments over there. As we were driving, we passed Woodlake Road, and I said, "Nevermind-we need to go down that road." I instantly remembered an experience Sister Hay and I had a few transfers ago when we talked to a woman named Lindsay at the park nearby. She seemed interested in our church, and we exchanged numbers; she was going to come to church that Sunday. When we had tried to call her, the number she gave us was incorrect or disconnected. We felt disappointed because we had felt really good about her. Totally forgot about Lindsay after that. SO Sister Helsing and I parked on Woodlake Road, and we said, "None of these houses feel right." I said, "Lets try the houses on the very end of the street." So we walked and knocked on the last door. We both felt so good about that house! No one answered, so we decided we would try back. We knocked on a couple of the next doors, when walking down the street, pushing her stroller, comes Lindsay! She did live in that house! We got done talking to the woman we were talking to and went back to Lindsay's house. She was so nice and we were able to schedule a return appointment! Miracle!
But it didn't stop there. We had 15 minutes until dinner, so we started walking towards the car. As we were walking, this lady who had just pulled inside her garage super cheerfully waved to us and said, "Hi!" No one just does that! So we walked up her driveway and started talking to her. Turns out, she was a woman back in January who Sister Hay and I had met back in January! We had seen her pulled over on the side of the road with car trouble, so we pulled over to see if we could help. :) When Sister Helsing and I talked to her the other day, she was very interested in the church's outreach program and service. We walked away in awe! The Lord is guiding His work.
Also, as we were weekly planning, we were trying to figure out what our focus was for the week, and Sister Helsing said, "We just really need to focus on praying to receive referrals." It was amazing. That night, the members we had dinner with, as well as a less active we visited, both said they have neighbors they have been meaning to invite to meet with us! In one night! We talked to them both about how they could invite them this week, and we told them we would follow-up. We are so excited!
Thank you once again for all your prayers. What an incredible and irreplaceable tool God has given us with the power of prayer!
Love,
Sister Budge

I am doing so well. Just like Ammon, I feel I cannot glory too much in my God. I am so incredibly grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost, for the light that comes through Jesus Christ and His Atonement, and for His mercy in allowing me to be a part of His great work. 1. Sister Helsing's plan of salvation with play-dough....the best! :) 2. Me and my wonderful companion!! <3 3. Pride Rock...is in our area. :) We had an amazing week!!! We just saw so many miracles. I feel more fulfilled than I have felt my whole mission. Sister Budge 1. Beautiful rainbow!! 2. The cutest baby bunny we saw on the side of the road!!!! :) (one more pic on the way...) We had an amazing week!!! We just saw so many miracles. I feel more fulfilled than I have felt my whole mission. Sister Budge 1. Beautiful rainbow!! 2. The cutest baby bunny we saw on the side of the road!!!! :) (one more pic on the way...) It has been a pretty crazy week--lots of good, though!! :) On Monday night, we had dinner with the Buchanons--LOVE them!! Christine (oldest and not a member/she is our investigator) had a lot of questions, well they all did, really--and we were able to address her questions. She is a very deep intellectual thinker, and she said most religions would just avoid her questions, but we answered them. She said she was blown away. I am amazed at the progress she has made since the first time I met her about four months ago. :) Brad Peterson is still doing incredible! He is on track for baptism on May 9th. He got an incredible answer this week to his prayers. We had prayed specifically that while he was gone that week for work (he is a trucker), he would notice things that happened that were not a coincidence but an answer from God that this is the path he should go. Well, we had a lesson with him on Wednesday night, and that morning, he had driven to Denver, and this guy went up to him to figure out paper work and what not, but the first thing he asked him was, "Do you know the Lord?" WHAT?! He was so surprised! In all his years as a trucker, none of these guys had ever said anything like that before! They ended up having a half-hour conversation on God. That night, I had Sister Guymon with me (an incredible Sister missionary I got really close to up in Laramie) on exchanges, and she testified of Christ, to which he said, "That is totally crazy; that guy I talked to today said exactly the same thing you just said--word for word." It was so incredible!! I asked him if he felt like God did answer him that this is the path He wants him on, and He said, "Well, He definitely showed me that today!" He and his family were also able to attend a baptism with us on Saturday, which was so great! :) Continue to pray for him--prayer is so REAL!!! Last night, we were able to go down to Boulder for a baptism of an investigator Sister Helsing taught. :) We brought the Buchanon family with us, and it was so great!! I was even able to see Sister Hay--tender mercies! :) Never forget the power of faith in Jesus Christ in all you do. Let His light shine through you. Believe Him that He can make you worthy, strong, and and incredible instrument in His hands. Love, Sister Budge |
