Wow! Such an amazing week! Tuesday was transfers, but because I was getting a new missionary, I didn't get my new companion until Wednesday morning. After sending off Sister Linsenmann, I spent the day with two other sisters who are also training. Part of what we did together was service at an assisted living center; we got to decorate for Halloween, under the direction of a little old man. :) It was so funny, and the decorations are so mismatched....no one needs to know who decorated that place. ;)
I got Sister Thatcher on Wednesday morning, and right from the start, I could tell that she is an incredible individual. She is a visa waiter going to Bulgaria; I feel honored to get to keep her as long as I can, but I'm so excited for her to move on and go to Bulgaria as soon as she can. :) Training is definitely a humbling experience, that's for sure!
Brittany is now a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!!!! YAY! She is so incredible, and she just glowed during her baptism. Once again--I feel so honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of her life and to have been an instrument in God's hands. I know already that she is going to be a huge strength to her family. Her non-member mother even came to the baptism, and she invited her neighbors to come, as well. She's already doing missionary work!!
We had Stake Conference this week, and it was incredible!! We even got to see a broadcast given from Richard G. Scott and David A. Bednar--so powerful!! The Saturday night session, though, was amazing! Everything lately has been SO emphasized on member missionary work, working with the missionaries, family history and temple work, etc. I know that is not a coincidence! The Lord IS hastening HIS work, and He needs us to be aware and come along with it! This is Christ's church. The world needs to know of the hope of repentance through His Atonement. Pray for the missionaries, and pray for missionary opportunities. The Lord always provides a way.
I love you all!!! There is a work for each of us to do!
Love,
Sister Budge
