I don't have a lot of time this week, so this is going to be short. (We actually get to have a district P-day today...with other missionaries! :) We're going ice-skating, etc...) But here goes!
We spent the weekend-Thursday through Saturday-in Nunn and Pierce, staying the night with members up there to save miles. While up there, we finally got to see our investigator, David again!!! It was super incredible. Some of the things he said testified to me that he is being prepared to receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, if he is willing to see that he is.
On Saturday night, we threw a party for all the YSA kids in our ward (we mainly did it for Martin, our investigator, and some less active YSA.. :)) We invited the YSA Elders and asked them to bring some kids from their ward to kinda, you know, strengthen friendships and such. ;) We actually had a really good turn-out, Martin came, and I feel like it was a really good thing for them. It was raining earlier that day, and we almost thought about rescheduling. We said a prayer, and the skies cleared. I told God that I knew that we were inspired to have this party, and asked Him to stop the rain that night. He did, and it was a miracle. Prayer is real! The first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. I knew that I could ask for this miracle in Christ's name because it was His will. If something as simple as this can be answered through our faith, why then can He not answer your prayers? I know that He does. Trust Him.
Love,
Sister Budge
