This week has been good. I mean, Kendra got baptized, so of course it was great!!! She is so incredible! So it was really awkward in a way because she had asked Alex Taylor, the returned missionary from the cruise, to baptize her...oh, and did I mention she's basically in love with the guy? So yeah, she had him baptize her, and she had her boyfriend, Richard, who also happens to be the bishop's son, give a talk on baptism...! But besides that, the baptism was a super incredible, and the Spirit was so strong! Kendra just glowed! My joy was full to the brim, and I know hers is, as well. LOVE HER!!!! :D
We handed Mary off to the Johnstown Sisters on Wednesday because she finally found a place to live on Sunday. :/ She seems to be adjusting well to them and the ward, so I'm extremely glad. And when she does get baptized, I'll be there! It's looking like it will be awhile, though, because of a ton of complications from her past with being in and out of prison all the time and stuff! :P
We almost thought we would lose David as an investigator. We haven't met with him in a couple weeks, but he told us he still wants to meet with us, so that was a relief!
Still just trekking it out....I feel like Satan is just pounding us lately-all of us in the mission, really--because we're all struggling. Please pray for us with all the energy of your hearts, and pray for those whom we teach. Prayer and faith hold so much power! These people need to feel God's love for them and feel the hope that the gospel brings, despite the weaknesses of us as His servants. The Atonement is real. Keep Christ with you always, and remember that the important thing is that you rise each time you fall.
Love,
Sister Budge
