Like last week, we have been gathering in the potentials! It's absolutely ridiculous! Most of them have just been from tracting, but we were also able to receive a referral from our bishop, Bishop Etter. We have around 9 different potentials! I just could hardly even believe my ears when people kept telling us yes every few houses! We haven't even spent a whole lot of time tracting this week--maybe 2 total hours? I just feel incredibly blessed, and I hope and pray that they will see something in what we are offering them. If they can just recognize and feel the Spirit, and if they are prepared, I know they will progress. Please pray for them and us.
I haven't updated you in awhile on Jessica Vasquez. She is still doing really well. We had dinner with the Teeples, who are the main fellowshippers for the Vasquez family. Jessica and her dad were both there. Her dad has been present for a couple lessons, but he is so busy he hasn't put in the time that Jessica has. Anyway, we would have shared a message, but Sister Johnson almost had a seizure and couldn't think straight, so that didn't work out... Brother Teeples was able to give her a blessing, though, and we were able to explain what that entailed. It was incredible and really brought the Spirit. Brother Teeples assured us that we could give them a lesson another day, so we are excited to have that experience this week.
You're probably thinking, "Wow, Sister Budge sure has a lot of problems with companions and their health problems!" Well....you would be correct. The real problem is that practically everyone in this mission has some sort of health problem or another. Sister Johnson and I always joke about how we're the "rejects." :D Good stuff... :)
I will keep you posted on all of our potentials when we start to see some progress. I know that Heavenly Father does indeed answer prayers. He knows the means of who, when, how, and why they need to be answered, and we just need to trust in Him. Lately I love Proverbs 3:5-6; it sums it up really well.
I am continually striving to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. How I long to serve Him with all that I have to offer!! With my whole heart, might, mind, and strength! Everything we do just goes so much more smoothly if we are only willing to surrender our wills to Him!
I love my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ so much. I know that They long for the Salvation of each and every child. I am here to assist in that work as a lifelong missionary.
