I'll first explain the title. So, the Hirschis, the members we live with, fed the Elders in our ward last night. Well, let's just say that Sister Strasser and I have had "dance parties" with the little girls briefly before, so Colette naturally thought it fitting that the Elders should dance with her too....yup!!! :) P.S. Elder Stoddard is very fond of hashtags...! P.S.S. we didn't teach her anything about marriage dances. :)
It's been a great week. Jessica Vasquez is sooooo incredible!!!!! She's absolutely a sponge. And she basically made my day, week, and mission, the other day! Sister Strasser and I went to mutual on Wednesday, and Jessica gave us the biggest hugs. She told us how great we were and that we had great hearts, and just how much she loved us. :) She's only fifteen, and she reminds me of my little young women in Bloomington Ward. I really do feel like we have been kept here for three transfers together so that we could reach Jessica specifically, among other people. She wants to get baptized, but we just need to work things out with her family. Really and truly, she'd be ready to get baptized this weekend, :) but maybe that's just me and my selfish desire to ensure that both Sister Strasser and I will be here, since transfers are next Tuesday... :)
We went to this Easter performance last night that the youth in the Fort Collins and Loveland Stakes put on. It was called, "We Sing of Christ," and it was so inspiring! We went with a less active, Sister Chavez, and she was really touched. She said she loves having us over because she feels the spirit. I know she'll come back, and she's on her way.
We also got to help with an Easter Egg hunt for the primary, and we helped with a really great service opportunity at a children's center. I love doing service where I really feel like we are appreciated and needed.
Sister Strasser and I sang in the ward choir for the Easter performance yestrday! It went really well; I know that we had the help of angels. Music brings the spirit so strongly it's incredible. I read a quote that said (paraphrased), "Music is the only art of heaven that we have on this earth and the only art we can take back with us." Love it!!! I feel so blessed to have a love for music!
Well, it's been a really great week, and I have felt the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that you all feel it. He truly is watching out for us and is pleased with our every effort. Continue on the path and trust Him and His help.
Love,
Sister Budge
