Where to start! It has been a really incredible week! I just love my new companion, Sister Helsing! :) We already get along great, and she is going to be so great for this ward. Oh! And she is from Idaho Falls and has grandparents who used to be from Paris! :)
First of all--April Fools Day. :) We happened to have a meeting with the District and Zone Leaders (DLC), so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pull a prank on that lovely day. We were at Sister Allred's house, and she suggested making cookies with the extra cookie dough she had and adding some extra salt. So we did. The Elders totally fell for it. The were like, "oh, what kind of cookies are these?!" "I've never had oatmeal butterscotch cookies before!" They really didn't want to offend us. :) They finally said something and figured it out. Their faces were priceless. Just thought you would enjoy that story. :)
We had the incredible opportunity to take a new Sister out on Tuesday!!! It is amazing how much goodness and childlike innocence new missionaries carry--I love it! :) And now we even get to go on exchanges with the new Sister we took out soon!
On Easter, we went tracting for about a half-hour, sharing #BecauseHeLives. The miracle came in that we knocked on a former's door, Jake, who I have never before seen in the area books. It was really neat, and we were able to come in, get to know him, and set up an appointment for this week. :)
Of course, an incredible highlight of this week was watching general conference!!! I just feel like I still have so much evaluating and pondering to do with everything I felt and was impressed with during conference. I look at those men, and there is no possible doubt that they are called of God. His image shines in their countenances so brightly. I just hope and pray that I, through the gospel of Jesus Christ and obedient living, will be able to continue on the path of discipleship in receiving that same spirit and light that they carry. I pray that now at this special time, I will be able to follow God's will and find those He puts in my path to bring that light of Christ to, as well.
