New investigator!! His name is David-we sort of ran into him by accident. :) We had some time, so we thought we would visit the Carters, who just had surgery. Well...we got the wrong house, but we met David!! He bought us lunch later that week, and when we were talking, he asked us, "What brought you girls to my door?" I know that it wasn't by chance we met him. He is so incredible!! We got to tell him what brought us out here to serve our missions, and the spirit was very strong. We gave him a Book of Mormon, and he promised to read the introduction if we promised to find out what the word, "Bible" means...? :) Anyway, we know it means library, books, etc, but that's not what he's looking for. If you find out, let me know! :)
Mary and Kendra both came to church. Kendra's date is set for the 12th of July at 10:00 AM. The returned missionary from the cruise is coming to baptize her! We are doing a photo shoot with her tonight, and we're putting the pictures in the program--it's going to be great!! :D
Mary was really struggling, specifically financially. After zone meeting on Wednesday, Mary met us at the church. We pulled the Assistants to President (A.P.'s) aside (they're in our district) and asked them to give her a Priesthood blessing. It was so incredible, and since then, she noticed a change in her week, and everything seemed to run more smoothly. She is so strong!!! Her faith amazes me! Yesterday at church, we talked things over with her. She needs to be moved by the 1st, and the best option is going to be in the Glenmere Ward...so of course, we have to turn her over. We are trying to get ahold of the Bishop there to help her, but things will work out, right? And hey, we'll definitely be at her baptism-it's still in our stake.
So yeah.....!!!! Happy 4th of July!!!! Hopefully we'll get to watch the fireworks!!! It's going to be great! Love you all! Have a wonderful week, and remain close to the Lord. All things will work together for your good.
Love,
Sister Budge
