Kinda a crazy scattered week--but lots of really neat things happened. :) I honestly am struggling with deciding what to share haha. :)
On Monday night, we had some names down for the 8:00 hour, but as we started trying them, none of them felt right. We decided to go to Grandpa Earl's. :) He is seriously the sweetest little man!! He has adopted all five of the Sisters he has worked with--but the thing is, it's like a real adoption, not just a title. He doesn't really have any family close to him, but he just cherishes the Sisters so much!! It meant the world to him that he was able to have his first FHE with two of his granddaughters! :) He is so sweet!
We were able to meet with the Eifferts this week, as well. They told us we are the first Sisters they have ever let into their house. How humbling! We brought them cookies, and we told them how much we loved coming to visit them and how special the Spirit in their home was. Sister Hay made a comment like, "Any excuse we can find to visit you...!' Brother Eiffert replied, "You don't need an excuse to stop by." That is incredible progress!!
Progress with Arianna Thomas is a little slow because her Mom is very committed to her church--keep them in your prayers. :)
Yesterday, we had a wonderful day!! A highlight was definitely taking Christine Jones, Samantha Buchanon's older sister, who we're always making efforts to work with, to FHE in the YSA ward in Fort Collins. :) She really enjoyed it, and I really think she would look into being involved in the YSA ward.
Sister Hay and I have really been striving to use our talents of music a lot more lately. We try to incorporate it into lessons, and especially at the Assisted Living, they love it soo much! We visit a less active, Barbara Downing, there, but recently, she has been asking for us to sing for all the residents, and they have just loved it!! It is just so fulfilling!!! :)
Last of all, we were able to go to the temple today, which, as always, is absolutely incredible!!!!!! I was able to receive a lot of answers and understanding. The Lord knows you. He knows the people, experiences, challenges, etc, that you need. He is so merciful and loving! His work is hastening, and we can choose to be a part of it and experience the blessings that He will shower upon us if we but show our faith and act. I challenge each of you to go to the temple this month and make a personal goal to attend more regularly.
Love,
Sister Budge
p.s. the Sisters had an igloo in front of their house.... :)
love these Sisters!!!
