Happy Mothers' Day to everyone!! I had a good one. :) I got to call home, and in my ward, they gave flowers (irises--so pretty!), chocolate covered strawberries, and candy bars to all of the women 18 and older....that includes me!!! Sister Johnson and I were pretty excited.
We have a new investigator! His name is Duane, and we met him at service doing Catholic Charites. He's awesome--we gave him a Book of Mormon, and he promised to read and pray about it. We set a return appointment, so I'll keep you posted!
We had more lessons than I have ever had in a week, so I'm pretty excited! I am seeing the blessings from really putting forth an extra effort to schedule more appointments during the day.
Well, it's snowing here in Fort Collins the past couple of days! Don't worry, though--in a couple days it will be back in the seventies and eighties... :)
We had a really incredible experience the other day. We were trying to visit a less active, but it didn't work out. On our way somewhere else, we noticed a young couple by the side of the road. The situation was obviously one of mourning--there was a sign with flowers up the post-a memorial-and they were in an attitude of mourning. We wanted to help, but we weren't sure. We followed the Spirit and parked by the side of the road and just went up to them and offered words of comfort. They were so appreciative of us and that we noticed them and cared enough to stop. We gave them a mormon.org card with our number on it and told them to call if they needed anything. We felt very fulfilled afterwards. The Spirit is incredible!
Thank you for your words of encouragement and love. It really does strengthen and help me more than you know. Have an incredible week, and always remain true to what you know. I know God is mindful of you and all that you stand in need of. He can guide you in your lives, and I testify that He does indeed answer prayers. Be patient and trust in Him, and He will not fail you.
