Wow!!! Do I have to update you! Guess where I am....? CHEYENNE!!!! Yeah, don't really quite know what to think about it yet, but I hear it's going to be great! Transfers happened yesterday, and Monday was labor day, so I couldn't email since the libraries were closed. :(
Sister Martinez got transferred to Longmont, and I got transferred to Cheyenne-just about completely different ends of the mission. That means they swept out our ward; they're bringing elders in instead. It's crazy how many sisters are going home lately and how many aren't coming out. Between August and December we'll have lost 33 sisters out of like 60 ish, and we'll only gain 6. I have been out 9 months, and I'm still one of the younger sisters in the mission; this transfer we gained 3 sisters, and it is the first time any of the sisters in my group that came out with me will have trained! Crazy stuff! The big influx of sisters is definitely dying down...by the time I go home, there will be hardly any sisters left in the mission!!! Sad day. :(
Anyway!!!! My new companion is Sister Linsenmann; she is also from Idaho!! But she's from St. Mary's-up in the panhandle, which really is like a completely different state. She is super sweet and ready to work hard, so it will be a great transfer!
Guess who is coming to our mission???!!!??? ELDER QUENTIN L. COOK!!! Whooo!!! :) Super excited; he is coming on Saturday for our mission conference. I definitely feel like we need him at this time, as I feel the adversary's power increasing daily. He is attacking God's faithful servants; pray always that you may come off conqueror (D&C 10:4).
So...yeah!!!! It was really hard to leave Severance and the great people in the ward and whom I served with, but I feel like I did what I needed to do there, and it was time to move on to another place. I know there are people here who I can strengthen with the help of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Well, love you all, and hope you have a great week! :)
Love,
Sister Budge
