Well, here we are, beginning the second week of my third transfer!! I really am grateful to be here with my trainer, Sister Strasser, for yet another transfer. I am by far the longest companion she's had--she basically trains 'em up and leaves somewhere else!! She herself only got trained for six weeks before she was training! She's really incredible, and I have learned and grown so much from her.
Holden got his mission call!!! I know this is old news to most of you, but to me, it's crazy!! I can't handle it--it's actually happening already! He's going to Mexico, Guadalajara and leaving June 11! I'm so happy and excited for him-he's going to be such an incredible leader and example, and he's going to touch so many lives. What an incredible little Elder!!
We have an investigator who we've been teaching kind of sporadically for awhile--her name is Tasha Marchant. Her husband of a year is an active member, and since they've been married, she's been coming to church every week. She's so great!! She just wants to know for herself that it's really true before she jumps into things. On Monday night, I challenged her to set a baptismal date, and she didn't fully accept, but she promised to pray about it.
We had a really motivational Zone Meeting this week where the central focus was on creating a vision for ourselves. It is so crucial to have a vision and then to make plans and set goals to reach that vision. So much more is accomplished that way! I am really excited to continue to try to stretch myself, and even though I won't be perfect, I will grow. One of our Sister Training Leaders, Sister Vargha, made the comment that President Brown told her, "If you were perfect at it, it wasn't a very good vision, was it?"
I love you all and hope you all have a fantastic week!! Keep praying for the missionaries and do all you can to help in the hastening of the work!!
Love, Sister Budge
