Tomorrow marks three months on the mission! Crazy, huh? That's 1/6 completed already! Even crazier, is that Holden is working on submitting his papers and will probably have them sent in this week!!! Wow, I feel like I just barely did all of that....!
This week has been good! We had a Sisters' Conference with all of the sister missionaries in the whole mission-it was great!!! We went over things specific to sisters, as well as just general things to generally boost us. I'll have to send you all the picture of us, as well. :)
I'm really excited because as I was sitting in Sacrament Meeting yesterday, I realized that I am indeed seeing progress in the people we are teaching. We are seeing less actives returning to activity, as well as struggling members progressing in the strength of their testimonies. Sierra Briggs has been sick this week, but she is still on track for baptism!! We are planning on March 15--the Saturday before transfers!!
I have been really trying to focus my desires on having the faith to baptize. So many missionaries lose the faith to baptize because of discouragement. It is hard to find people to teach, but I'm striving to do better with seizing the opportunities I have to talk to people. We had a nice day last week where we were walking around outside of a really widespread apt. complex. We noticed a lady outside with some little kids who were playing at a mini playground. I felt like I should talk to her, so we introduced ourselves, and gave her a pass-along card with our number on it. She told us her address and said we could stop by whenever. Well, we tried, and she wasn't home...but we will continue trying, and maybe she will be interested, right? :) I just keep hoping that one of these times, in finding through our own efforts, we will be led to the elect who are open to receiving the gospel.
You're so great, and thank you so much for all your prayers!!! It really does mean so much, and it does make a difference. Have a great week!!!!!
Love, Sister Budge
