Okay so this week has been really interesting/eventful/different/amazing.... :) It's just incredible how God works.
All of the YSA students here are super busy with finals this week, so it's been a little rough for us to be able to meet with people. Crazy, though, because even though we have struggled with actually teaching a lot of people, God is definitely preparing SO many for us right now!! We have one new investigator, Tiantian, who we taught on Monday. She is Chinese, and is super receptive and accepting of everything we teach her. She is so willing to experiment on the word--pray for her that she will understand the things we teach her!
We also have an almost new investigator :) named MaKenzie; we taught her basically lesson 1 on Tuesday, and though she doesn't think she will become converted, she is really interested, excited, and curious to learn more!
We also have two potentials from members who have agreed to meet with us. :) People just keep coming out of the woodwork!!
A couple days ago, we went to go and deliver an invitation to Tiantian for this Christmas Musical Devotional we had last night. She wasn't home, so we put it in her door. After that, I just really felt like we needed to knock on some of the other apartment doors. It was one of those times when you feel the Spirit literally pushing you to do something. I seriously had this adrenaline rush and excitement to knock on those doors, and I knew there was someone we were supposed to find. The fourth door we knocked on, a guy named Hunter answered the door. He was so willing to let us in, and when we got talking to him and asked if we could share our message of Jesus Christ with him, he said, "Of course." We are hoping to meet with him this weekend.
Like I said, we had a devotional last night, and it was a great turnout! The idea was to have members invite people to it. There were some non-members and less actives there, so we were excited! I got to sing, "Mary, Did You Know," and I felt so privileged to have the opportunity. :)
Oh, and I forgot to tell you about the Zone Conference/Christmas Devotional on Wednesday!! It was so great! It was a little different format than most meetings, and it was amazing. We got to listen to musical numbers and testimonies from many of the missionaries, and the Spirit was incredible! I got to sing, "Oh, Holy Night," with Sister Guymon; what an incredible song!
In a talk yesterday in church, we were challenged to give a gift to the Savior this Christmas. I challenge you to do the same. He has given us everything.
Love,
Sister Budge
