It has been a pretty crazy week--lots of good, though!! :)
On Monday night, we had dinner with the Buchanons--LOVE them!! Christine (oldest and not a member/she is our investigator) had a lot of questions, well they all did, really--and we were able to address her questions. She is a very deep intellectual thinker, and she said most religions would just avoid her questions, but we answered them. She said she was blown away. I am amazed at the progress she has made since the first time I met her about four months ago. :)
Brad Peterson is still doing incredible! He is on track for baptism on May 9th. He got an incredible answer this week to his prayers. We had prayed specifically that while he was gone that week for work (he is a trucker), he would notice things that happened that were not a coincidence but an answer from God that this is the path he should go. Well, we had a lesson with him on Wednesday night, and that morning, he had driven to Denver, and this guy went up to him to figure out paper work and what not, but the first thing he asked him was, "Do you know the Lord?" WHAT?! He was so surprised! In all his years as a trucker, none of these guys had ever said anything like that before! They ended up having a half-hour conversation on God. That night, I had Sister Guymon with me (an incredible Sister missionary I got really close to up in Laramie) on exchanges, and she testified of Christ, to which he said, "That is totally crazy; that guy I talked to today said exactly the same thing you just said--word for word." It was so incredible!! I asked him if he felt like God did answer him that this is the path He wants him on, and He said, "Well, He definitely showed me that today!" He and his family were also able to attend a baptism with us on Saturday, which was so great! :) Continue to pray for him--prayer is so REAL!!!
Last night, we were able to go down to Boulder for a baptism of an investigator Sister Helsing taught. :) We brought the Buchanon family with us, and it was so great!! I was even able to see Sister Hay--tender mercies! :)
Never forget the power of faith in Jesus Christ in all you do. Let His light shine through you. Believe Him that He can make you worthy, strong, and and incredible instrument in His hands.
Love,
Sister Budge
