Dear Everyone, :)
I seriously don't have any idea what happened to this week....!!!! Exchanges on Tuesday and Wednesday, meetings, and more meetings....!!! Oh, with a little bit of proselyting in between. ;) Just kidding, but that's basically what it felt like! Haha. Sister Hay and I went on exchanges with the Hermanas covering the Spanish branch in Fort Collins. Because those Sisters are in a trio, and they each needed one-on-one time with one of us, we split exchanges into two days, and both spent one day in the Spanish Branch. It was really great--our dinners there were strictly Spanish speakers, and two of the Sisters, the ones who actually stayed in the area, were both brand new. They did so wonderfully, though, and made up for Sister Hay and I and our lack of Spanish... :) Surprisingly, though, my two years of high school Spanish payed off, and I did understand basically the whole conversation at dinner, even though I couldn't really respond in Spanish! :) Hermana Mondragon came with me to Wellington the second day, and we visited a less active we hadn't met with before. She totally clicked with her, and it was fantastic; she was definitely supposed to be here that day. Oh, Sister Clegg, the less active, took us to Camacho's, a hispanic restaurant, and they got Minudo and really wanted me to try some. It's like a soup...but with tripe in it (translation--cow stomach). So yeah!!! It was actually not bad--a little different, but not bad. :)
The weather here continues to be amazing! It snowed once like last week or the week before, but other than that, it has been in the 60's and 70's in the middle of the day...!!! It's kinda psyching me out making me think it's spring or something....but it's wonderful to have this much sunshine!! Winter here is supposedly worse in March and April than earlier, so we may still have some rough patches, but the nice thing about Colorado, is that it always clears up in between and feels like spring!!
Faith brings power. There is so much potential for good inside each one of us, if only we will allow our faith to make itself manifest. We will be instruments in God's hands as we represent Him. We will witness miracles.
Last of all......
HAPPYVALENTINESDAY!!!!!!
Love,
Sister Budge
