It's transfer week...! As you know, I have been in Fort Collins for the past week, so I honestly had no idea what to expect with transfers. I even kinda thought it would be possible that I would stay here in the Terry Lake Ward. When we got the voicemail from the zone leaders on Saturday night and they said, "Sister Budge, you will be going to Wellington with Sister Hay to be a Sister Training Leader," I was a little surprised. Haha usually when we're given a leadership call, they call us ahead of time to ask if we'll accept. Turns out they do things differently now, so good thing I'm willing. :) President Brown did give me a call this morning, though, so things work out. :)
I am so excited for this Friday--all the missionaries in the mission get to go to a special meeting with Elder Bednar!! And right afterwards, I get to go to MLC (missionary leadership counsel)...with Elder Bednar!!! What an opportunity!
This week, I was in a trio for a couple days, and most of the week, I have been with just Sister Young. It's so crazy because we have only been together for a week, but I love her so much!! We just really clicked and have the same perspective about basically everything, so it was a tender mercy from the Lord to allow me to get to know her like I did. I also completely believe that I needed to be here this week and get to know and be close to the Sisters here in the Fort Collins Zone.
As far as teaching goes, it's been a great week. We committed one of our investigators to baptism, and gained some potentials. We had the best member present lesson last night with a new investigator! The Stake is starting this program where the members work with the Ward Mission Leaders to set up appointments with their friends (referrals) and schedule it with us. It's great because the members are doing the inviting, and we just go to teach. :) It gets the members so motivated and involved and helps them to fulfill the roles they need to and be the support the investigators need.
I testify that Christ lives. The Atonement is REAL. When we focus on the Atonement and hold to our Savior every day, we don't need to worry about our inadequacies, errors, or shortcomings. Improvement and change will follow when we are focused on our Savior and on serving Him.
I love you all!!
