Well, here I am in the Wellington Ward! :) It really is so great here, and the work is picking up so much since Sister Hay and I have been together. We just feel so incredibly blessed to have so many blessings and so much work to do. We have seriously been on this spiritual high that hasn't stopped--I've never felt anything quite like it. My understanding of the Spirit is increasing so much, and I feel the veil is thinning.
Our mission conference with Elder Bednar was indescribable. I can testify that he is an Apostle of the Lord. Instead of speaking to us, he spoke with us--for 3 1/2 hours, we had the special opportunity to talk with, ask questions of, and learn from the Spirit through an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. Over and over afterwards, comments were made commending our mission for our preparedness and that we wouldn't have been able to receive the light and understanding that we did had we not brought that Spirit with us. I am just so excited to see our mission progressing so much!
We are really working with Matt, who is struggling a lot with alcohol; please keep him in your prayers. Tonight we have a lesson with Robbie; she is a new investigator who noticed Sister Hay and Sister DeVoe shoveling driveways and came out to talk to them. We are also meeting with Samantha, a new investigator who's parents are recent converts and just got sealed. Pray for both Samantha and Robbie that the Lord will continue to prepare them and soften their hearts that they will desire to experiment upon the word to find its truthfulness.
I know that God lives. I know that He loves each of us so individually, and that He prepared us for this Earth. We have each been equipped with spiritual gifts and talents that are so special and unique. He needs us to use what He has given us to assist Him in building His kingdom. I invite each of you to pray to know what your gifts are and to ask Him how you can use them to lift others.
